| dc.description | The Master’s thesis is devoted to the structural and semantic characteristics of English terminology related to logistic routes in the tourist industry and to the strategies of its translation into Ukrainian. Relevance of the research topic determined by the rapid development of tourism logistics, the increasing use of English specialised terms in Ukrainian professional discourse, and the growing need for accurate and standardised translation of terminology in tourism-related documentation. The purpose of the study to establish the key structural and semantic features of English logistic terminology used in the tourist sphere and to define the most effective strategies for its translation into Ukrainian. To achieve this goal, the following assignments need to be solved: – to analyse theoretical approaches to terminology and its role in professional discourse; – to identify the structural and semantic features of English logistic terminology used in the tourist sector; – to determine the main difficulties in translating logistic terms in tourist discourse; – to specify the most effective strategies and techniques for translating logistic terminology in different types of texts. The object of the study is English terminology related to logistic routes in the tourist industry. The subject of the study is the structural, semantic and functional peculiarities of this terminology and the strategies for its translation into Ukrainian. The factual material of the research includes English-language tourist logistics texts, transport instructions, route descriptions, analytical reports and other specialised materials containing professional terminology. Methods of material processing and description. A set of linguistic research methods was applied, including descriptive and component analysis, contextual 7 interpretation, comparative analysis, and quantitative evaluation of translation strategies. The scientific novelty of the paper lies in its comprehensive analysis of English logistic terminology in the tourist sphere and in identifying the most productive strategies for its translation into Ukrainian, considering current tendencies in terminology development and standardisation. The practical significance of the obtained results consists in their applicability for improving the translation of tourist and logistic documentation, developing recommendations for translators, and compiling glossaries of specialised terms used in tourism logistics | |
