Abstract

The master's thesis is devoted to the development of a web-oriented system for testing students' knowledge in distance learning. The aim of the work is to study the subject area, model testing processes, which will allow optimizing testing processes and increasing the efficiency of learning processes, and develop a system for testing students' knowledge. The research focuses on the development of a web-oriented system that includes functionality for testing students' knowledge, providing different levels of complexity of test tasks. Modern web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, C# and databases, were used to implement the required functionality of the system. During the development process, a needs analysis was conducted to determine the level of students' knowledge and requirements for the system, which allowed formulating key functional requirements and determining the need for integration with external services to obtain up-to-date data on the levels of students' assimilation of educational content. The result of the work is a developed web-based system for testing students' knowledge, which allows students to comfortably test their knowledge on a selected topic, independently choosing an answer option for a test question of the appropriate level of complexity, and also provides system users with a convenient interface for navigating the system. The resulting system has the potential for further expansion and improvement, including the possibility of using artificial intelligence to provide students with a substantiated analysis of errors that were detected during testing.
