Abstract

The Master’s thesis is devoted to the study of English scientific and technical terminology in automotive user manuals and to the analysis of linguistic, communicative, and translation strategies of rendering such terminology into Ukrainian in the context of the digital transformation of technical documentation. Relevance of the research topic. The rapid digitalization of modern society, including the automotive industry, has fundamentally reshaped approaches to creating, structuring, and translating technical documentation. Automotive user manuals, which historically existed as extensive printed booklets, have evolved into dynamic electronic guides integrated into digital platforms, mobile applications, and in-vehicle multimedia systems. This transformation increases the role of multilingual communication and demands high accuracy, terminological consistency, functional clarity, and cultural adaptation in translation. English remains the dominant global language of automotive engineering and technical communication; therefore, the effective translation of automotive terminology into Ukrainian is essential for ensuring safety, usability, accessibility, and compliance with international standards.
